Introduction
Koboweb ensures that it manages your personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). We are committed to fair information practices and to preserving the privacy of our service users. Our goal at Koboweb is to use technology to provide farmers with markets, finances, and expert advice to help them make sound agricultural decisions. To achieve this goal, we process certain categories of personal data. This Notice concerns the manner and scope of how we, as data controllers, process your personal data as data subjects.

Information we collect and purpose of collection
We collect certain information about you in two ways: from our web server log and directly from you.
- Information we obtain from our web server logs: When you visit our website, we may track information to administer our site and analyse usage. To do this, we process the following information: your IP address; the type of browser or computer you use; the date and time of the visit; the pages viewed; information obtained from you.
- Information we obtain from you directly: When you decide to use any of our services, you will be required to register to access them. The information we request from you are: full name; email; gender; residential address; and form location.

This website does not use cookies.
Lawful basis for processing
We are required to process your data under at least one of six lawful bases available under data protection laws. The specific bases upon which we process your personal data are:

Use of and Access to Information
Security and Confidentiality: We use technical security measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control and information about our clients. Information about our clients and their farms is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not disclose any information about any clients’ agricultural activities except in specific cases, or where required by law, and we do not share information with any unaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes unless you expressly give us permission.
Identifiable Information
We will share your personal data as required by law, by the order of any competent court or government authority, or in matters of public safety or policy. Under strict conditions of confidentiality, we share your personal data with third parties who use it on our behalf and in connection with their relationship with us. We will also share your personal data, as may be needed, in connection with enforcing agreements.
Data Subject Rights
At some point, you might wish to exercise your rights as a data subject. You can achieve this by doing the following:

Third-parties we share your data with
- We will disclose your data to law enforcement and government agencies pursuant to a subpoena, or court order, when we need to do so to comply with law or credit/debit card rules; or when we believe, in our sole discretion, that the disclosure of personal information is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activity or to investigate violations of our User Agreement.
- We will disclose your data if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, order, subpoena, audit, or to protect the safety of any person, to address fraud, security or technical issues.
- We share your data with international partners in order to provide adequate service to you.

Retention of your data
We shall only keep your personal data that we collect from you for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Notice. However, we will also retain personal data based on relevant provisions of applicable laws, to resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
